Meet Our Team: Chase Schwarzwalter, the Globetrotting Marketer
Growing up in a small town with a big imagination, I discovered early on that I could explore the entire world - and even create my own world - through stories. Whether reading a book, writing an essay, or creating elaborate backstories for my Lego characters, storytelling has always been my escape. Today, I feel lucky that I get to use these gifts in the work I do for Solomon Advising as our Vice President and Creative Director.
I joined Solomon Advising fresh out of college in 2015 and have been fortunate enough to spend the entirety of my career with the same company. While my role within the organization has shifted and grown [many times] over the years, that journey has been an incredibly fun one. In our day-to-day, we perform a wide array of services for and on behalf of our clients. Often, this has meant figuring things out as I go. For many people, that would be challenging, but for me, it’s one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.
At Solomon Advising, one of our core values is continuous improvement - whether for our clients, our company, or ourselves personally. As a self-improvement junkie, there's always something about myself, my relationships, or my career that I am working on. Right now, I’m hyper-focused on deepening my relationships and making sure the people in my life know how important they are to me. It’s so easy to get caught up in our daily to-do list and forget to appreciate the people that enrich our lives.
This mindset shift has helped to bring my career and personal goals into alignment. I would say my overarching life goal is to leave a legacy. Not in a “made a billion dollars and went to outer space” kind of way, but I want to know that my time here was meaningful and that the world is better off because I’ve been in it. At the end of the day, I think that’s what we’re all hoping for, but it requires us to get very clear on what that means for us and actively take steps to achieve it.
Having lived and traveled all over the world, my husband and I are excited to have recently put down roots in San Diego by purchasing our first home together a couple months ago. When I’m not at work, you can find me lounging in the backyard with my husband and our dog, reading a good book, or exploring our new city. While I do love to relax at home, traveling is my greatest passion and I’ve been lucky enough to see some incredible places in my short lifetime.
Although Solomon Advising is a well-established company, in many ways, it also feels like we are still in our infancy and just starting to really come into our own. As we continue to grow and embark on new ventures, I see myself as the protector of all of the things that make Solomon such a special place to work. I look forward to sharing the excitement, balance, and opportunities that Solomon Advising has provided me with our growing team. I’m also excited to watch our approach to brand management and business development reach more organizations and connect more people through the power of storytelling.
